Zero Ceiling Work 2 Live: Kehews Story

March 26, 2019

The Adventure Group proudly supports Zero Ceiling’s Whistler adventure-based learning program, Work 2 Live. Every year, the Work 2 Live program supports eight young people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness from Vancouver, the Sea to Sky corridor and the lower mainland. The program offers full-time employment in the outdoor tourism industry, as well as supportive housing, life skills, one-to-one support and plenty of mountain adventure. Through the program, participants learn new skills, gain experience and become part of a community, and are empowered to live healthy, autonomous lives.

Kehew graduated from the program in 2017 after working as a lift operator for Whistler Blackcomb and as a Superfly Ziplines guide.

Hear from Kehew herself about how the Work 2 Live program helped to change her life:

Every year, The Adventure Group together with other local businesses puts on the legendary Whitewater Rodeo, a fun-filled, feel-good event for locals to kick off the summer in style. 100% of all the ticket sales are donated to Zero Ceiling’s programs including Work 2 Live.
