Basecamp is our home at Cougar Mountain. This boutique backcountry area serves as the starting and ending point, as well as a gathering point for all the park pass activities. It includes firepits, cafè, food vendors, interactive games, rest areas, and washrooms.

Our basecamp is located at Cougar Mountain, just 10 minutes north of Whistler Village in a coastal temperate rainforest with magnificent mountain and valley views.

The Activity Departure Point is where your journey begins! Pack your bags and gear up for adventure, whether that’s ziplining through trees or snowshoeing on mountaintops.

Our Tenure

Explore 18,000 acres of stunning terrain that includes Whistler’s famous Ancient Cedars, Showh Lakes, Rainbow Mountain, Cougar Mountain, the Soo Valley and the Green River. Explore the forest in the safety and comfort of a RZR or a snowmobile, fly above it on Superfly Ziplines, or take in all the remarkable views on a snowshoe tour.

Carbon Neutral Build of Vallea Lumina
Following the guidance of renowned arborists and via carbon offsets purchased by Moment Factory, the Vallea Lumina build was carbon neutral and now runs on 100% renewable energy.
Waste Diversion
Over 50% of all waste created at Cougar Mountain is recycled, reused, or composted instead of being sent to a landfill.
Partnering with Polaris
Last year Polaris exceeded their goals of a 10.8% greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency improvements of over 9%. We are proud to work with Polaris and share their goal of preserving the environment.
