  • Opening Hours

    Daytime Activities Start at 9:00am Daily

    For 9:00am tours, check in starts at 8:45am.

    Tours run throughout the day until nightfall.

    Vallea Lumina Starts Nightly After Sundown

    In the summer, with the days being longer, the first tour of the evening can start as late at 10:00pm.

     

    In the winter, with the days being shorter, the first tour of the evening can start as early as 5:00pm.

  • Getting to Basecamp

    TAG Basecamp is located 15 minutes north of Whistler Village on Highway 99 at Sixteen Mile Creek Forest Service Road

     

    From Whistler, head north on Highway 99, passing Emerald Estates. Look for a large wood sign on the left that says “Welcome to The Adventure Group.” Turn left onto a gravel road uphill to reach our parking lot.

    Round Trip Shuttle Service is available to add on while purchasing your activities. First shuttle pick is at 8:30am. Space is limited and must be booked in advance.

     

    Our shuttle picks up and drops off at the Whistler Village Gateway Bus Loop under the big bus shelter by the Whstler Visitor Info Center.

     

  • Parking

    Paid Parking is in effect

    All day parking for The Adventure Group is $10 per vehicle and can be purchased as an add when booking your activities.

     

    License plates are requested for monitoring.

  • What Activities Does TAG Offer?

    Superfly Ziplines – 2.5 Hours

     

    Snowmobile Tours – 2 to 2.5 Hours

     

    Ancient Cedars Snowshoe Tour – 3 Hours

     

    RZR Tours – 2 to 2.5 Hours

     

    Aerial Obstacle Course – 2 to 4 Hours

     

    Wedge Whitewater Rafting – 2.5 Hours

     

    Vallea Lumina – 30 to 60 Minutes

  • What time of year is each activity available?

    The following are the approximate times that each of our activities operate throughout the year. Availability may vary depending on weather conditions.

     

    Superfly Ziplines – Year Round

     

    RZR Tours – May to November

     

    Aerial Obstacle Course – April to November

     

    Wedge Whitewater Rafting – June to August

     

    Snowmobiling Tours – December to April

     

    Snowshoe Tours – December to April

     

    Vallea Lumina – Year Round

    May to October – Summer Course runs from approximately – Is a 1.5km long trail that includes a steep staircase with about 120 stair steps.

     

    November to April – Winter Course runs from approximately – Is a 1km long trail that does not include the steep stair section to allow for snow removal.

     

  • Activity Requirements

    RZR & SNOWMOBILE:
    To drive a RZR or Snowmobile we require you to be over the age of 16 and have a valid learners license at least. The original driver’s or learner’s license needs to be presented at the time of check-in. Passengers must be 6+ years or older.

     

    SNOWSHOE TOUR:

    All guests must comfortable and physically able to hike 3 to 5km in the snow. Minimum guest age is 8 years old.

     

    SUPERFLY ZIPLINES & AERIAL OBSTACLE COURSE:
    Kids must be 6+ years or older and all guests must weigh between 60-250 lbs (27 – 113 kgs).

     

    WEDGE RAFTING:
    Minimum weight for the tour is 90 lbs (41 kgs) in high water and 80 lbs (36 kgs) in low water.

  • Are the activities guided?

    All of our day time tours are guided experiences with expert guides.

     

    Vallea Lumina is a self guided experience but rangers are stationed through out the course and the whole course is monitored by CCTV.

    Basecamp Café

    Refuel while your adventure! Options change year round but here is a selection of what we have:

     

    Snacks: Pizza, Pastries, Soups, Chips

     

    Beverage: Coffees, Hot Chocolates, Juices

     

    Complimentary drinking water fountain is available

  • Warming Hut

    Relax and Warm Up Between Adventures

    New This Season: Between adventures, warm up and chill out in our warming hut.

     

    Complimentary lockers and boot dryers are available. Enjoy boardgames and colouring for kid’s!

  • Interpretive Snowshoe Loop

    Looking for something to do between adventures?

    New This Season: Enjoy complimentary snowshoeing from Basecamp is available starting December 15th 2023.

     

    The loop starts at basecamp and will be approximately 1km through the forest to a viewpoint looking up to Blackcomb Mountain and Wedge Mountain. Along the way, signs will share information on the local flora, fauna and surrounding mountains.

     

    Keep an eye out for more information!

    There are washrooms are located at Basecamp.

    • Any life saving medication you may need
    • Phones, Cameras and GoPros welcome – just at your own risk
    • Ski goggles if you have a pair
    • A valid drivers license if you are wanting to drive a Snowmobile or RZR
    • Sense of Adventure!
  • What to Wear

    Dress for the Weather!

    In the winter, we recommend:

    • Warm Layers with a waterproof outer layer – like you’re going skiing!
    • Warm socks, gloves, tuques/beanies, and neck warmers
    • Warm waterproof winter boots

     

  • What Not to Bring

    • No Drones – sorry!
    • No Alcohol, Drugs, Cigarettes or Vapes
    • No Umbrellas
    • No Bad Vibes
    • No Pets
    • Anything that would prefer to not lose or drop like keys or wallets are best kept in a secure locker at Basecamp
    • Anything that you would rather not have break or get dirty

    We don’t have full outer wear available to borrow but we do have a limited selection of the following available to guests to use:

Cancellation Policy

  • Are bookings transferable or refundable?

    Bookings can be cancelled for a full refund 24 hours in advance. They are non-transferable.
