Whether you’re chasing adrenaline or soaking in the views, getting to Basecamp is a breeze. Catch our complimentary shuttle from the Gateway Loop, in Whistler Village, take the scenic drive, or grab a quick taxi ride, all roads lead to adventure!

Getting to Basecamp: Shuttle, Taxi, or Drive

How does the shuttle work?

We offer a free, bookable round-trip shuttle service between the Gateway Loop in Whistler Village and Cougar Mountain Basecamp.
Each shuttle seats 24 guests and you can reserve your spot for the trip to Cougar Mountain in advance. Any remaining seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The ride back does not need a reservation.

Grab a cab!
Missed the shuttle or prefer a direct ride? Whistler Taxis is a great option! Call them at 1 604.932.3333. They pick up right from the Gateway Loop—next to our shuttle stop—so it’s easy to switch gears and hop in a cab if the shuttle is full or you’re short on time.

Prefer to drive?
No problem! Just head north on Highway 99 from Whistler Village for about 10 minutes. Watch for The Adventure Group sign at the start of Sixteen Mile Creek Forest Service Road—on the left side of the highway near the north end of Green Lake. Turn left and follow the road up to Cougar Mountain Basecamp.

Is parking available?
Yes, but it’s limited. PayByPhone parking is in effect starting June 1, 2025. You can use the PayByPhone app, access it through your browser, or ask our Base Experience Team for help once you arrive. Whenever possible, we recommend taking a taxi or the shuttle—it’s the easiest way to go!

Running late?
No worries—life happens! If you’re running behind, please call Basecamp as soon as possible at 1 833.800.8480. We’ll do our best to reschedule you for a later tour if space is available that day.

Please note: Guests who arrive 10 minutes or more after their scheduled start time will be subject to our late cancellation policy and fees.

Had a great day with The Adventure Group! We started with the four ziplines, which are highly recommended! Afterwards, we did the Adventure Course — so much fun!
All in all, it was an amazing day, and we were guided perfectly by our coach Harrison!

We had an incredible experience with the TAG Day Pass — highly recommend it to anyone visiting Whistler! Caoimhe, Sam and the team were amazing. They helped reassure my dad, who was recovering from a recent shoulder reconstruction, that he was able to join us on the zipline, and even showed him a modified bracing position to keep him out of pain. Thanks to their care and encouragement, we all had the best time!
