A warm welcome from Joey Houssian and my belief in “moments”

Welcome to the official online home of The Adventure Group and thank you so much for stopping by. My company represents a collection of the most unique and inspiring adventures that you can do in Whistler. My vision is to create a venue and an opportunity for you to have an inspiring “moment”. By moment, I mean an experience that is meaningful and memorable and one that stays with you long after you have left Whistler.

Your moment might be one of “happiness”. Happiness to be enjoying an experience with your family, friends or a special someone where their smiles and laughter is all you need to be happy in your day.

Or your moment might be “HOLY SH#T!” “We are going to fly across that entire valley on that zip line!” I can’t tell you how many thousands of people have addressed and overcome their fear of heights on our zip line tours.

Or maybe your moment is more “introspective”, a genuine time to reflect on something in your life where you can find the space, the fresh air and the inspiration to see the bigger picture and make a change or simply to pick up the phone and call someone you have been thinking about.

The list goes on and on. Your moment could be funny, frightening, bonding, inspiring, challenging, motivating etc. It is my belief that the more experiences we collect, the deeper our understanding of ourselves, each other and the world around us becomes.

I hope this doesn’t come across as overly-serious because at the end of the day we are in the business of FUN and through our adventures and our style of guiding we really do aim to please. We have hundreds of thousands of happy customers and we look forward to welcoming you into our family.

Thanks again for visiting,

TAG Cares

TAG Cares is a core part of our company and embodies our commitment to the community and environment that we live in. Our program supports a range of social and environmental causes and we are proud to share these with you here. TAG donates thousands of Whistler activities and tours to events, non-profit societies and charities every year including the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, Whistler Animals Galore (WAG), Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment (AWARE), Trips for Kids, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Zero Ceiling and the BC Cancer Society. We also have our own environmental quest and we work to see that all our Whistler tours and activities are 100% carbon neutral.

Cougar Mountain and the Whistler corridor are world-renowned activity playgrounds. We pride ourselves in sharing the wonders of the area with our guests. And we believe in sharing moments of fun and growth with everyone. In our back yard and beyond. We graciously give to charities and organizations that share our vision and ethics, two of which are close to our hearts in their initiatives.

Playground Builders

Playground Builders is a one of a kind charity dedicated to creating safe play spaces for children in war-torn areas around the globe. Since their inception they’ve built playgrounds in Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan. Our partnership with Playground Builders has lead to the creation of four playgrounds in Afghanistan, providing safe, healthy play environments for close to 20,000 kids.

Zero Ceiling

We proudly support Whistler’s adventure based learning program Zero Ceiling. Each season, several at-risk youth and young adults from the sea to sky corridor are trained to share new skills with others; like snowboard or ski instructing. Empowering them to contribute to the community and ultimately live a healthy lifestyle.

TAG and the environment in which we play in are inextricably linked and this is reflected at the very core of our company culture. Our commitment to the environment captures our understanding that without healthy land, air and water, the very essence of pure & clean adventure is compromised. With TAG Whistler activities, we make an effort to do our part and see that it is all 100% carbon neutral. This means that after reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible throughout our operations, all CO2 emitted through our activities, transportation and office use is mitigated with high-quality carbon offsets obtained through our work with Offsetters.

In addition to our carbon offset program, TAG Whistler also has a comprehensive recycling program, purchases “green” whenever and wherever possible, and uses the latest technology with regards to our motorized equipment including low-emission four stroke snowmobiles and ATV’s.

Our mission is to become the most environmentally sustainable company of our kind. Anywhere on the planet.

TAG Whistler only offers tours through companies who are fully insured operators with excellent safety records and a high standard of guiding. Guides are hired from all over the world and share a wealth of experience, are highly trained in their respective fields and must pass extensive in-house training sessions throughout the year. Guides will only proceed on a tour once they are satisfied that the guests understand the safety aspects of the said tour.
